In this workshop, we’ll delve into the wonderful ways spines work together with the core, breath, and surrounding muscles to support your body in everyday life, and all the Funky ways your yoga practice takes you. 

 

Together, we’ll explore how the spine: 

✦ Moves and responds in multiple directions and planes

✦ Works alongside the core to create stability and support 

✦ Adapts under load in daily life and yoga practice 

 

We’ll break down familiar movements, explore supportive progressions, and build awareness you can roll out with your mat every time! Wherever you are in your yoga practice, this workshop meets you there. 

 

Bend & Learn:

✦ The 3 categories of backbends 

✦ Building strength and stability in your low back, and learning ways to release your low back 

✦ How to align your spine for optimal movement 

  • Wheel pose, and many steps to focus on along the way (and multiple other fun backbends!)
