Whether you’re feeling like toes to the sky, or maybe a more chill fly, we invite you flip this workshop on its head! Going upside-down is good for our blood circulation and lymphatic system, builds strength and coordination in our muscles, strengthens our vestibular system, and has many other benefits. Inversions are any pose in a Yoga Asana that places your heart above your head, or your hips above your heart, or both. This shift in blood flow is called venous return, or the amount of blood the heart receives, which can offer a bit of support in allowing the heart to slow down. Think, a resting pause of a Downward Dog in the middle of a Power Flow.
These fun additions aren’t always a daunting challenge, though! Often, inversions can be just as restorative as strengthening–from variations in Fish Pose to sturdy Dolphin drills, there are so many ways to use inversions to grow your practice!

Explore: deep dive into new ways to flow with inversions, utilize props, and try out some variations to your familiar favorites!
Release & Rest: learn how to support your body after flipping, practice mindfulness in a short meditation, and recover with a restful Savasana
