FBU: Weekend Immersion
Funky Buddha University: Weekend Immersion | Oct. 13-14
SO. MUCH. YOGA.
9 hours to be exact. Conveniently arranged into three bite-sized 3-hour chunks, fit as much yoga into your weekend as your schedule permits. We encourage you to do ALL THE THINGS – immersive experiences are awesome for injecting some oomph into your learning curve – but do what you can.
Each 3-hour session will contain about 2 hours of physical workshop material and 1 hour of related discussions and self-practice time.
BONUS (30-Day Dare-ers): This immersion is deliberately and strategically timed RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF DARE. We did this on purpose – so that you can stock-pile your yoga-tool belt full of skills to work on while you are sweating your asses off during the month of Dare. If you are going to do all that yoga, you might as well use the time on the mat to practice some specific skillz! As an added BONUS, the time that you spend in Immersion will count towards your Dare total. If you do the Full Immersion you will get tons of yoga practice and info PLUS 9 points towards your Dare. Front load your month yogis – get more out of your Dare with specific things to practice, and enjoy the journey just a little bit more.

Friday, October 13th – Forest Hills Studio
Session 1 | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
FLOW (2 hours): The literal flow of yoga happens in-between the poses. The Transitions are the movements aka “poses” between the poses. Not only are Transitions a critical part of what makes yoga look and feel beautiful, they are the glue that makes vinyasa(flow) style yoga vinyasa, and perhaps most importantly, they are the keys to functional strength and agility. Spend two hours with Katie and Audra, and get your FLOW ON.
Transitioning from the Mat to Life (1 hour): Ask anyone who has gotten bitten by the “Yoga Bug” and they will tell you – the benefits of yoga go beyond the mat. Larissa will walk you through tips for making the daily ins-and-outs of life just a little bit better, utilizing the physical skills that you practice every week in-studio.
Saturday, October 14th – Forest Hills Studio
Session 2 | 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
When Yogis Invert (2 hours): Have you gotten tired of hearing this yet…..well here it is again, THE KEY TO ALL inversions and goofy yoga tricks is CONTROLLED CORE STRENGTH. This session is going to be all about re-discovering your Core Container, and then using said container to play yoga-style. Katie and Christina will be happy to ask you to do things you have never done before. 🙂 Expect sweat, fun, and several bouts of hysterical laughter.
Core Values (1 hour): “Core Values” is a phrase that is thrown around a lot in business & life, but what does it mean? Have you given much thought to the guiding principles of your – workplace, family, self, yoga practice? Spend time with Larissa learning a little bit more about The Funky Buddha Core Values, and how they translate into The Funky Buddha Experience, and then spend some time thinking about your own Guiding Principles. Time well spent. Boom.
Session 3 | 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Assist Yourself to a Better Practice (2 hours): Spend two hours getting the benefit of ASSISTING. YESSSSSSSSS…….Did you hear us?!?! TWO HOURS! Spend the afternoon with Amanda and Alli practicing both solo and partnered assists – some that will change the way you practice in-studio, and some that are just plain FUN.
3 Minutes to a Happier You (1 hour): Train your brain just like you train your muscles. Want some tips on how to hardwire happiness into your daily life? Join Larissa for a few simple practices you can take with you OFF of your mat – only 3 minutes each! And……SAVASANAHHHHHHHHHHHHH……..
