Having worked with Baron Baptiste’s “40-Days to Personal Revolution” for the past 6 years, the Funky Buddha has taken our experience with this fantastic programming and evolved it to more closely meet the needs of our Funky Buddha environment and community.

This in-depth, intensive program of self-work and self-discovery will be focused on the many ways that your body and mind are connected, and how you can utilize the two-way street of communication between your body and mind to access your greatest potential. You will transform your yoga practice and awaken your mind. With a daily combination of yoga practice, meditation, mindful eating, and personal reflection, you’ll cultivate a new foundation from which to live and grow. Regardless of yoga experience, in just under 6 weeks we’ll give you the tools necessary to become your most unstoppable self.

Each week, we’ll explore the following areas:

Daily Yoga Practice

Commit to spending time on your mat 6 days a week either in studio, at home, or on the go. Rather than focusing on developing physical endurance, we will be focusing on giving your practice deep roots in your life. A regular yoga practice is fantastic, a LIFELONG yoga practice….that is gold. Because of this belief, we will spend time developing the confidence and habituation necessary to develop an unshakable home practice. Of course we want you to practice in the studio – and we will! But the development of a consistent home practice will give your yoga practice resilience to the ups and downs and inconsistencies of LIFE.  

Daily Meditation

Meditation is all the rage right now, and for good reason. Meditation is a game changer, but it can also be intimidating. Learn some of the WHYs behind how meditation works, and develop the skills to reap the benefits of meditation in your everyday life. Just like your yoga practice, the best strategy….the one that reaps the most benefit…is the one that WORKS. Consistently. Every day. We will offer tons of support in the form of accountability, exercises, guided meditations, and podcasts, so if you’re new to meditation or it’s already a part of your routine, you’ll be in good company. 

The Food that Fuels You

From week 1, we’ll look at things as simple as “where does your food come from?” to “how does this food fuel my body?” Without subscribing to any specific diet or fad, we will ask you to take a look at your habits and toss out the ones that don’t serve you. We’ll throw in a few tools like information, support, and perspective, and have you on your way to a healthier and more conscientious you. 

Reading and Journaling

Plan on short weekly readings from a variety of carefully curated sources. Each week there will be a few questions for your reflection, designed to encourage introspection and expand your current thoughts and perceptions. No tests, we promise. Trust us, this will be the most useful homework you’ve ever been assigned.  

Weekly Group Meetings

Each week we’ll meet as a group at the Holland studio (in the event that you’ll need to miss a meeting, we’ll make sure you get the handouts and journaling assignments). We’ll meet from 1:30-3:30 pm on Saturdays. You can expect group discussions, meditation, and special exercises during these group meetings. These meetings are for support, as well as learning from each other’s experiences. There will be opportunities for both small and large group sharing (but it’s not required). 

  • Access to all of the reading material that will be used
  • Podcasts created specifically for your 40 Days journey
  • Instructor and group support
  • A 40-Days journal to record your musings and growth

The next 40 Day Workshop begins Saturday, January 14, 2017. This six week program will have weekly group meetings occurring every Saturday from 1:30-3:30 pm at the Holland location. The pricing of this special workshop includes unlimited yoga practice for the full 40 days for all participants.
